Optimization of physical and geometrical parameters of an electrochemi
cal photovoltaic regenerative solar cell with current leads located on
opposite sides of a cell unit was studied. The dependence of local cu
rrent density on the length co-ordinate is expressed using dimensionle
ss quantities. A linear polarisation curve was assumed. The equation f
or maximal output in Watts per total unit surface area was given. The
optimization of the output on the ratio of the active surface to the t
otal surface of the cell was discussed. A construction of a cell with
line current collectors was described.
