Abstract
A case study is presented to illustrate the concept of femoral compone nt failure secondary to polyethylene wear in a 67 year old man, 13 yea rs after he had conforming type total knee replacements, This case ill ustrates the theory that this observed problem may be a leading cause of failure in conforming and nonconforming total knee replacements in the future.
