[Mo(NPMe(3))(4)]Cl-2 has been prepared by the reaction of MoNCl3 with
N-(trimethylsilyl)trimethylphosphanimine in dichloromethane solution f

m, beta=90.36(1)degrees. The structure consists of chloride ions and d
ications [Mo(NPMe(3))(4)](2+) in which the molybdenum atom is tetrahed
rally coordinated by the four nitrogen atoms of the (NPMe(3))(-) group
s with MoN bond lengths of 180.7 pm in average which correspond with d
ouble bonds.
