LUMINESCENT - GRADE ZINC-SULFIDE OBTAINED BY THIOSULFATE METHOD .3. CHARACTERIZATION OF SOME PHOSPHOR SAMPLES PREPARED FROM DIFFERENT ZNS-TYPES

By thiosulphate method, three ZnS-types were obtained in strongly? int ermediate and weakly sulphurated local firing atmosphere and transform ed into corresponding ZnS:Ag,Cl phosphor samples. Their crystalline st ructure, particle size and surface area were determined and compared w ith the similar characteristics of the starting ZnS-types. The emissio n and excitation spectra of ZnS:Ag,Cl samples were presented and inter preted by comparing them with the spectra of the corresponding ZnS:[Zn ] and ZnS:Cl phosphor samples.
