Abstract
In the p-amino group of the local anesthetics benzocaine and procaine of free basis was studied the torsion motion with a simultaneous chang e of the tilt angle, using the AM1 and CND0/2 semiempirical methods. T he optimum geometric parameters and related potential function were ob tained.
