Gi. Egorov et al., THERMODYNAMIC PROPERTIES OF IONS IN SOLUTIONS OF SODIUM AND POTASSIUM-CHLORIDES IN H2O-DMSO AND D2O-DMSO MIXTURES AT 278-323 K, Russian journal of electrochemistry, 32(10), 1996, pp. 1080-1083
Thermodynamic characteristics inherent in solvation of ions of sodium
and potassium chlorides in mixtures of water or heavy water with dimet
hyl sulfoxide are determined from the temperature dependences of stand
ard emf of cells without transference. Effects of the cation nature, t
emperature, and the mixed solvent composition on these characteristics
are analyzed. Isotopic effect on the Gibbs free energy of solvation f
or Sigma Na+, Cl- and Sigma K+,Cl- is calculated.
