Abstract
Summarised data on the Middle and Upper Carboniferous miospores from t he south-western Precaspian Depression (North Caspian Syncline) are pr esented. Eleven zones, mainly acme zones, are described and illustrate d. The ranges of the most important taxa are demonstrated. Miospore ba sed correlations between the Precaspian Depression zonation, the East European Platform and Donbas on one hand and western Europe on the oth er hand are proposed.
