We present ab initio pseudopotential calculations on the lifetime and
electron-positron momentum density of delocalized positrons in bulk di
amond and silicon. Our results compare very well with experimental and
earlier theoretical findings available. For diamond we observe a comp
aratively isotropic momentum distribution with maximum density at the
Gamma point which explains naturally recent experimental results.
