Abstract
An investigation was made of pulsed excitation of an injection laser w ith a noninjected region, performing the function of an intracavity sa turable absorber, and with a double-sided (GaIn)P/(AlGaIn)P heterostru cture. This laser generated single optical pulses in the spectral rang e 645-665 nm, of down to 20 ps duration, and with a peak power up to 1 .5 W.
