Abstract
The strong tendency of proteins to accumulate at interfaces is signifi cant in many scientific and technological fields. Recent efforts to un derstand protein interfacial behavior include the use of engineered mu tants, imaging with atomic force microscopy, and calorimetry. Advances have been made in designing solid surfaces that are protein repellent .
