Abstract
The temperature-dependence of the magnetic susceptibility of CsV1-xMgx Cl3 (x = 0.000-0.357) is investigated to elucidate finite-size effects in the S = 3/2 one-dimensional Heisenberg antiferromagnet. The experi mental results are compared with the results of the exact-diagonalizat ion method for chains with up to seven-spins.
