A. Sakamoto et M. Novotny, SEPARATION OF PHOSPHOLIPID DERIVATIVES BY MICROCOLUMN LIQUID-CHROMATOGRAPHY, The Journal of microcolumn separations, 8(6), 1996, pp. 397-402
Packed, fused silica capillaries were employed, at high chromatographi
c resolution, to separate complex mixtures of phospholipids derived fr
om plant and animal sources. Benzoylation of phosphatidylcholine deriv
atives and dansylation of phosphatidylethanolamines were used in conju
nction with miniaturized spectroscopic detectors. Under the conditions
of stepwise gradient elution, detection limits for both derivatives w
ere on the order of picomoles. (C) 1996 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
