Abstract
The central laboratory provides International Normalized Ratio results in close agreement with the local laboratory for monitoring the antic oagulant effect of low-dose warfarin. A central laboratory may have pr actical advantages for patients in rural areas that lack laboratory fa cilities for anticoagulant monitoring.
