A laser resonance photoelectron microscope with the magnification of 1
0(5) and spatial resolution of up to 30 nm has been developed. Photoel
ectron images produced due to the laser photoselective ionization of l
ight absorbing centers on LIF:F-2 needle tip surface when irradiated b
y a cw argon ion laser have been investigated and single color centers
on its surface have been observed for the first time. Some future per
spectives of this method are also discussed.
