Cs. Nie et al., FT-RAMAN AND FT-IR SPECTRA OF SOME HETEROBIMETALLIC COMPLEXES WITH PHENYLCYCLOPENTADIENYL LIGANDS, SPECT ACT A, 52(13), 1996, pp. 1769-1777
The FT-Raman and selected IR spectra of 14 heterobimetallic complexes
of (CO)(3)CrC6H5-C(5)H(4)M(CO)(n)(NO)(m)X (M = transition metal, X = o
ther ligands) are reported. FT-Raman exhibits distinct strong characte
ristic bands of coordinated C6H5-C5H4 ligand ring deformation near 154
0, 1490 and 1280 cm(-1) and the coordinated phenyl ring deformation mo
de near 1000 cm(-1), which are negligible in IR spectra. It is also ea
sy to find the M-CO stretching and M-C-O bending as well as phenyl-M s
tretching bands in the FT-Raman spectra. The v(CO) IR absorptions in T
HF solution were reasonably assigned according to the local symmetry o
f the complexes.
