The nuclide Ce-130 was produced by a (O-16, 4n) reaction on an enriche
d Sn-118 target. Reaction products were transported to a shielded loca
tion by using a helium-jet tape transport system. A 22.9 min activity
in chemically separated cerium sample was identified as Ce-130. The (E
C + beta(+)) decay scheme of Ce-130 was proposed for the first time. T
his scheme includes 108 gamma-lines, 107 gamma-lines among them being
new. More than 13 1(+) low-lying states of La-130 are populated in the
decay of Ce-130. Two new isomers with half-life of 77 +/- 10 ns and 1
7 +/- 5 ns were observed by means of delayed gamma-gamma coincidence m
easurements.
