Abstract
In this study the total amount of dyeing substances present in Rubia t inctorum L. was found by using the extraction method and then separate d in column. All of the dyeings were carried out; with red component a lizarin (1,2-dihydroxyanthraquinone). Dyeing conditions and other char acteristics were determined and in most cases high fast colours were o btained.
