AN ALGORITHM FOR SPECTRAL-ANALYSIS OF LINEAR DYNAMIC-SYSTEMS

An effective algorithm for spectral analysis of linear dynamic systems is presented whose theoretical foundation represents a new method of numerical search for zeros of polynomials using a computer. The method has no limitations in terms of degree of the polynomials, is not crit ical in the selection of initial approximations, and assures the calcu lation of zeros to an arbitrary a priori assigned precision. The propo sed algorithm can be used in application program packages for automate d research and for designing automatic control systems. The effectiven ess of the algorithm is illustrated by the results of solving a model problem.
