Abstract
The need to develop water-borne systems with lower levels of organic c o-solvents con be met by using melamine-formaldehyde crosslinking agen ts which ore completely water soluble. By controling the distribution of species within the crosslining agents, the range of performance can be extended without compromising solubility. Some encouraging results have been obtained using these products in formulations which are co- solvent-free.
