Abstract
We report some preliminary results related to the influence of acids o n the reaction rate of urethane formation from alcohols and isocyanate s, in the presence of alkyltin carboxylates. Small quantities of hydro gen chloride or of carboxylic acids slow down the kinetics in an appre ciable manner. Some hypotheses are considered in order to interpret th ese results.
