Abstract
The kinetics of the addition of unsubstituted and substituted benzenes ulfinic acids to various 2-halogeno-nitroethenylarenes was studied by means of UV spectroscopy. The effect of 4-substituents in ben zenesulf inic acids and the change in reactivity of the nitroethylene systemin 2-halogeno-2-nitroethenylarenes in the presence of various substituent s in the benzene ring and various halogens at the double bond were inv estigated. Kinetic studies were made at 288-308 K, and activating ener gy and enthalpy of activation were determined.
