Abstract
The lithiation chemistry of several 1-alkyl-1H-1,2,4-triazol-5-yl sila nes has been investigated. Lithiation occurs exclusively on the 1-alky l group, a to nitrogen, and on warming, an unusual anion-mediated carb on-to-carbon silicon migration occurs giving rise to novel 1H-1,2,4-tr iazol-1-yl alkyl silanes.
