Abstract
The content and the horizontal and vertical distribution of nickel in the soils were investigated. A close positive relationship was found b etween the nickel in the soils and its content in the soil-forming par ent materials, and a weak relationship with the content of organic mat ter. Different types of nickel distribution were defected in the soil profiles of different soils depending on the content of clay separates and the pH of the soil solution.
