Abstract
Benzoxazinones have been discovered which are mechanism based inhibito rs of HSV-1 protease with micromolar IC50 values. Formation of a monoa dduct consistent with the acyl-enzyme complex was detected by mass spe ctroscopy. A parallel array synthesis was developed to explore 2-heter oatom substituted SAR.
