Abstract
The measurement of the forward-backward heavy-quark asymmetry at LEP i s presented. The present status of the experimental tecniques is revie wed and the LEP averages are given for the b and c asymmetries. Averag ing all LEP results including the lepton asymmetries, the tau-polariza tion and its asymmetry yields sin(2) theta(eff)(lept) = 0.2318 +/- 0.0 004. Combining this result with the SLC left-right asymmetry measureme nt gives sin(2) theta(eff)(lept) = 0.2313 +/- 0.0003.
