Abstract
The authors report the case of a 34 year old nurse who developped seve re malaria, 17 days after a puncture; the needle was used for catheter ization of a peripheral vein, carried out on a Malian infant suffering from acute malaria. Coma, renal failure, pulmonary oe dema were treat ed successfully with associated Quinine and cycline treatment.
