Abstract
In this paper, we investigate the influence of endogenous d.c. and a.c . fields on the dynamics of microtubules in living cells. The dynamics of microtubules can be described by the adapted classical non-linear u(4) model convenient for systems with dipole-dipole interaction. It i s demonstrated that, on the basis of this model, several properties of the dynamics of microtubules can be clarified.
