Abstract
Allergenic cross-reactivity in sera of 150 untreated allergic patients with simultaneous sensitivity to venom of honeybee and yellow jacket wasp was investigated by means of RAST inhibition method. Simultaneous sensitivity without cross-reactivity was found in 101 patients and wi th extensive cross-reactivity in 21 patients whereas wasp venom sensit ivity with cross-reactivity in 23 patients and bee venom sensitivity w ith cross-reactivity in 5 patients was detected. The results indicated that cross-reactivities are rare.
