Sj. Price et al., FORMATION OF SURFACTANT INTERCALATES OF MNPS3 AS OBSERVED BY REAL-TIME IN-SITU POWDER X-RAY-DIFFRACTION, Chemical communications, (21), 1996, pp. 2453-2454
Time-resolved, in situ energy-dispersive X-ray diffraction is used to
monitor the intercalation of long-chain ammonium surfactants in MnPS3;
the initial rate of intercalation appears to independent of the chain
length, but for the longer chain length guest ions the new intercalat
e phases are short lived and start to decompose before the reaction is
complete.
