Abstract
Transmission electron micrographic images of platinum wires, incorpora ted into the channels of mesoporous molecular sieves, show that one-di mensional channels are arranged parallel in MCM-41 while the channels are three-dimensionally interconnected in other types of mesoporous mo lecular sieves constructed with silica frameworks.
