Abstract
The crystal structure of Ligulaverin A 1, isolated from Ligularia veit chiana (Hemsl,) Greenm,, reveals a novel carbocyclic skeleton which is likely to be derived from a hydroxymethacrylate ester of an eremophil ane sesquiterpenoid via an intramolecular Diels-Alder reaction.
