Abstract
The title complex, s[2-(2-propyliminomethyl)phenolato-N,O]cobalt(II), [Co(C10H12NO)(2)], has two chelating Schiff base ligands coordinating through their N and O atoms to give a tetrahedral geometry distorted m ainly by reduction of the chelate O-Co-N angles and by expansion of th e N-Co-N angle because of steric hindrance of the isopropyl substituen ts. The Co-O bonds [mean 1.906 (5) Angstrom] are shorter than the Co-N bonds [mean 1.992(8) Angstrom].
