Abstract
The synthesis and crystal structure of a new allotropic form (violet c rystals) of ihydro-4H-imidazol-4-one-N-1)dichloroplatinum(II), [PtCl2( C4H7N3O)(2)].2H(2)O, are reported. This form differs from the two crys tal forms (yellow and green crystals) studied previously in its interm olecular hydrogen-bonding scheme. The crystal structure of the new for m is isomorphous with that reported for the corresponding palladium co mplex, trans-[PdCl2(C4H7N3O)(2)].2H(2)O.
