Abstract
The title molecule, 1-(1-tosyl-3-indolyl)-1-hexanone, C21H23NO3S, is c onfigured so that the indole moiety eclipses one sulfonyl O atom and t he toluene ring the other. As expected, the hexanoyl O atom is almost coplanar with the delocalized indole system.
