Abstract
Many direct methods of solution are available for solving nonlinear Vo lterra integral and integro-differential equations. All of these metho ds are inherently serial and therefore have not received much attentio n for use on a vector or parallel computer. It is possible, however, t o make modest gains in speedup by employing some novel approaches to e xisting methods. These modifications are discussed and numerical examp les illustrate the results.
