Abstract
Citric acid yields of Yarrowia lipolytica (NRRL Y-1095) grown on gluco se ranged from 0.38-0.77 g/g and were dependent on both biomass and ni trogen concentration (as NH4Cl and yeast extract). Increasing the biom ass concentration by 3% (w/v) increased fermenter productivities from 0.6 to 1.22 g citric acid/L h.
