Mm. Abdelaal et al., TEMPERATURE AND FREQUENCY-DEPENDENCE OF DIELECTRIC-CONSTANT AND CONDUCTIVITY OF NATURAL EGYPTIAN MONAZITE, Journal of the Physical Society of Japan, 65(10), 1996, pp. 3351-3356
Dielectric results at frequencies between 0.1 and 100 kHz throughout t
emperature range of 150-450 K are given for the natural Egyptian monaz
ite. Three distincit absorption peaks (gamma, beta, and alpha) are obs
erved in order of increasing temperature. Displacement toward high tem
peratures of the three relaxations with increasing frequencies is just
ified. The Cole-Cole diagrams have been used to determine the molecula
r relaxation time tau and the activation energy of the beta-relaxation
. The A.C. conductivity is found to be proportional to omega(S(T)). Th
e high value of A.C. conductivity compared with the D.C. conductivity
indicates the dominance of the dipole polarization mechanism.
