R. Charmas et W. Piasecki, 4-LAYER COMPLEXATION MODEL FOR ION ADSORPTION AT ELECTROLYTE OXIDE INTERFACE - INTERRELATIONS OF MODEL PARAMETERS/, Langmuir, 12(22), 1996, pp. 5458-5465
A profound theoretical analysis is presented of the four layer complex
ation model assuming that adsorbed anions and cations are located in t
wo distinct layers, The theoretical relations between the intrinsic co
mplexation constants. developed in our previous paper (Langmuir 1995,
22, 3199) are subjected to an exhaustive numerical analysis, along wit
h the newly developed relation between PZC and IEP. That analysis show
s that the dependence of the electrical capacitances in the system on
the activity of the bulk electrolyte is of crucial importance for the
behavior of these systems.
