PECULIARITIES OF PARTICULATE ORGANIC-CARB ON IN THE BLACK-SEA WATER COLUMN

The vertical distribution of particular organic carbon (POC) in the Bl ack Sea in autumn 1992 has been studied. The calculation of average va lues of eleven stations date by 10 meter layers revealed three maxima: main one including upper 30 meter part of water column, lower maximum between 90 and 110 meters-layer of hydrogen sulphide appearance and i ntermediate that at 50 meter coordinated with constant pycnocline zone . The average values of POC concentrations are found 137, 38 and 64 mk g/l in these three maxima accordingly, In deep water column average PO C concentration is 21 mkg/l. The deepwater POC residence time is value d as 5-60 years.
