Abstract
Cryosolvents such as liquid nitrogen, argon, krypton, and xenon show a substantial thermal expansion. Its influence on the value of enthalpy differences for simple chemical equilibria in dilute solutions in suc h solvents, determined using infrared spectroscopy, is discussed. Corr ections to account for the thermal expansion are proposed.
