Abstract
In eukaryotic cells, many enzymes are devoted to the construction of t he complex glycan structures that decorate secreted and cell-surface p roteins. Recent studies have begun to elucidate the effects of asparag ine-linked glycosylation on protein folding and on the structure and f unction of mature glycoproteins.
