Abstract
Combining the Kagan method for synthesis of chiral 2-substituted ferro cenecarbaldehydes with our recent method for synthesis of 1'-substitut ed formylferrocenes, we found easy access to various practically enant iomerically pure ferrocenecarbaldehydes substituted in the 2- and 1'-p ositions. Furthermore, we have described a general method of synthesis of chiral ferrocenophanes. The X-ray crystal structures for three of them were determined.
