Abstract
Solid phase synthesis of peptidoglycan monomers was conducted by coupl ing the corresponding lipid-hearing glycocarboxylic acids to resin-bou nd peptides. The efficiency of coupling reagents was found to be in de scending order of HATU>HBTU>PyBOP>EEDQ. There was no obvious differenc e in coupling yield between conducting the solid phase synthesis on po lystyrene resins or on polyethylene glycol grafted polystyrene resins.
