Abstract
Clamped-gain SOA modules for 1.55 mu m wavelength including DBR-gratin gs, tensile strained bulk material and mode size adaptors have been re alised. Thanks to the stabilised gain over a large optical power range , amplification and routing of WDM signals al 16 x 10 Gbit/s has been achieved.
