Abstract
The same strained multiquantum well structure is used for both active and Bragg sections of a distributed Bragg reflector laser. 19 mW outpu t power is achieved with a threshold current of 25 mA. A sidemode supp ression ratio of 46 dB and a tuning range of 6.25 nm are reported at 1 .55 mu m.
