Abstract
It is possible and under certain conditions advantageous to produce hi gh-quality Portland cement clinker and cement using tuff and silica fu me instead of quartz sand as a raw mix component. The finding that eve n silica fume is suited as silica bearing component of cement raw mix is not in accordance results of other investigators.
