Abstract
The structure of a neutral polysaccharide, isolated from the culture m edium of Alcaligenes latus strain B-16, has been investigated by monos accharide analysis, methylation analysis, one-(1D) and two-dimensional (2D) H-1 and C-13 NMR spectroscopy, and enzymatic digestion, and by M ALDI-TOF-MS and LC-MS analyses of oligosaccharides isolated from a par tial acid hydrolysate. The polysaccharide has the linear disaccharide repeating unit --> 2)-alpha-D-Manp-(1 --> 3)-alpha-L-Fucp-(1 --> (C) 1 996 Elsevier Science Ltd.
