Abstract
A kinetic description of phonon-pulse propagation and phonon focussing phenomena is presented. The energy and quasimomentum focussing is con sidered. The relation between certain features of images of crystallin e solids and phonon characteristics is discussed. We consider also the simplest scattering mechanism - interaction of phonons with point mas s defects.
