We present a formalism for analyzing the thermodynamics of two-dimensi
onal black holes in finite-sized systems. The thermodynamic variables
are defined on a quasilocal surface and are obtained for a general cla
ss of dilaton theories of two-dimensional gravity. We also consider th
e effects of electromagnetic and Liouville matter fields. We illustrat
e the formalism by computing the thermodynamic properties of two black
hole solutions: one obtained from a string-inspired theory and the ot
her being a black hole in the ''R=T'' theory with a Liouville field.
