Abstract
Analytical coherence- and polarization-transfer functions are presente d for spin systems consisting of three spins-1/2 with arbitrary coupli ng constants under isotropic-mixing conditions. Based on these transfe r functions, optimal durations for the mixing-time period can be deter mined for correlations of interest. The analytical expressions also ma ke it possible to prove that isotropic-mixing polarization-transfer fu nctions cannot become negative for three coupled spins-1/2. (C) 1996 A cademic Press, Inc.
